Self-care is often thought of as an aftermath. It’s thought of as a reward for hard work or getting through a tough time. Although this can be a great way to celebrate yourself, engaging in things that make you feel good and that soothe you should be a part of your routine. Use it proactively as opposed to in reaction to a crisis. It is a prerequisite for mental health and well-being.
Think about it, you stretch before you workout to avoid physical injuries. Why not do the same for mental injuries?
