October 16th, Tip Of The Week: Check-in, Reassess and Regroup.

Last time you created a goal/challenge for the month of October. You are now about half-way through the month. It’s time to check-in with yourself to see if you’re on track or if you need to make some adjustments.

Here are a few prompts to help you assess where you are before you regroup for the next half of the challenge.

  1. Are you on pace to meet your goal? If you are, what have you been doing that has helped you stay on track? If you’re not, what are the things that are slowing you down?  
  2. Do you need to change your approach?  Is the strategy or plan of action you put in place working? Would a different approach make it easier for you to reach your goal? 
  3. Do you need to adjust your goal? When you set your goal, was it realistic given where you were in your journey? If not, what would be a more realistic goal? If your goal was realistic, are there factors that are preventing you from progressing the way you had planned? (note: if the goal was realistic but uncomfortable, don’t change it!)

If you need to make adjustments to your goal, or the approach you’ve taken, do it now! Then, get back out there and affirm that you are capable of stepping out of your comfort zone and achieving your goal by October 31st!
