February 12th Tip of the Week: Write a Love Letter To Yourself.

Valentine’s day is right around the corner! I think we all have a different relationship to what this day may mean or not mean to us. Regardless, I think this is a great time to pause and show ourselves some love. Embrace Your Pace is all about focusing on ourselves and where we are on our journey at the present time. It’s important to have dreams and goals in life but at times, focusing on our aspirations prevents us from reflecting on how we feel about ourselves RIGHT NOW!

So today, I want you to take a blank page in your journal, or in your notes app, and write yourself a love letter starting with “Dear [insert your name]”. Let your pen/fingers flow and see where it takes you. Once you are done, read your letter to yourself out loud. Then, give yourself a tight hug. Yes, I mean literally cross your arms and hug yourself. Self-hugs are more powerful than you may think.
